Gambling should be entertainment you can afford, never a way to make money or solve problems. The casinos in this directory are licensed outside the Nordic countries, which means your national self-exclusion schemes do not reach them. This page lists where to get help and how to set limits yourself.

National self-exclusion: what it covers

  • Spelpaus (Sweden) covers companies licensed by Spelinspektionen only. Periods: 10 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or until further notice (at least 12 months), and it cannot be ended early.
  • ROFUS (Denmark) covers Danish licensees, with periods from 24 hours to permanent.
  • In Norway and Finland, exclusion runs through the national operators’ own accounts.

None of these schemes covers the international casinos we list. If you have excluded yourself at home, please do not use this directory to find a way around it.

Practical limits that work everywhere

  • Use your bank’s gambling block, if it offers one, to stop card payments to gambling merchants.
  • Set a monthly budget before you play and a deposit limit below it.
  • Install blocking software on your devices if you want a hard stop.
  • Never chase losses, and stop when a session stops being fun.

Warning signs

Spending more than you planned, borrowing to gamble, hiding gambling from people close to you, or feeling restless when you cannot play are signs to talk to someone. The helplines above are free and confidential. You must be 18 or older to gamble, and 21 for casino games at the Estonian-licensed brands we list. More on each casino’s tools is in the full table, and our about page explains how we work.

Frequently asked questions

Does Spelpaus block international casinos?

No. Spelpaus only covers companies with a Swedish licence. Use the casino’s own limits and exclusion, and your bank’s gambling block, at international casinos.

Where can I get help in Finland?

Peluuri offers free, confidential help on 0800 100 101.
