Bitcoin casinos are online casinos that accept cryptocurrency for deposits and withdrawals. Of the international casinos we track for Nordic players, three accept crypto as of 7 October 2026: Tsars, Casoo and SpinsBro, all licensed in Anjouan. None of the MGA or Estonian-licensed brands in our directory takes crypto. The tables below give the coins, limits and terms we could confirm, plus the EU and Nordic tax rules that apply to crypto gambling.

Coins compared: speed, price risk and networks
The coin you pick decides how fast a deposit lands, what it costs to send and whether your balance moves while you play. Tsars lists Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and Litecoin; the other two casinos do not publish a full coin list, so check the cashier before you buy anything.
4 rows4 columnsScroll the table sideways to see every column
| Coin | Network timing | Price risk while you play | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin (BTC) | A new block about every 10 minutes on average, so several confirmations can take half an hour or more | Moves with the crypto market | Fees rise when the network is busy |
| Ethereum (ETH) | 12-second slots, so confirmations are much quicker than Bitcoin | Moves with the crypto market | Fees can spike at busy times |
| Tether (USDT) | Depends on the network you send on | Pegged to the US dollar, so it does not swing with crypto prices | USDT exists on several networks; sending on one the casino does not support can lose the funds |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Designed for faster blocks than Bitcoin | Moves with the crypto market | Accepted at fewer casinos than BTC or ETH |
Price risk in one example
Say you deposit 0.005 BTC when it is worth EUR 300, play for a few days and end exactly level in Bitcoin. If Bitcoin falls 8% in that time, you withdraw coins worth EUR 276 without losing a single bet; if it rises 8%, you take out EUR 324, and in the Nordic countries that rise is a taxable gain when you dispose of the coins. A dollar stablecoin removes most of this noise, although your euro value still moves with the EUR/USD rate.
Why the EU-licensed casinos here do not take crypto
The MGA brands (Elmst, Elvel, Ludaro) and the Estonian brands (Frenwall) in our directory list instant bank transfer, cards, Apple Pay and e-wallets, but no cryptocurrency. EU-licensed operators face strict anti-money-laundering rules, and many choose not to handle crypto at all. If you want an EU regulator, you give up crypto; if you want crypto, you will be at an offshore casino. Compare the licences on our full casino table.
EU crypto rules that apply to you
3 rows3 columns
| Rule | In force | What it means for a crypto casino player |
|---|---|---|
| MiCA, Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 | Fully applicable from 30 December 2024; transitional periods end by 1 July 2026 | The exchange you use must be authorised as a crypto-asset service provider |
| Transfer of funds, Regulation (EU) 2023/1113 | From 30 December 2024 | Transfers carry sender and recipient data; above EUR 1,000 to or from a self-hosted wallet, your provider must assess whether the wallet is yours |
| DAC8 | Crypto covered from 1 January 2026 | Platforms report your crypto transactions to tax authorities; Sweden’s first reports, for 2026, are due by 1 April 2027 |
Tax on crypto gambling by country
4 rows4 columnsScroll the table sideways to see every column
| Country | Using crypto as a stake | Rate on crypto gains | Winnings from these (non-EEA) casinos |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sweden | A disposal: gains taxed, losses 70% deductible; average-cost method; form K4 section D | 30% capital income | 30% of net winnings per operator and year |
| Norway | A realisation; gain or loss must be reported | 22% capital income | Single wins above NOK 10,000 taxable as a rule |
| Denmark | Generally a taxable disposal | Personal income; losses have a lower tax value | Taxable as personal income |
| Finland | A taxable disposal at market value | 30% capital income up to EUR 30,000, 34% above; presumed acquisition cost 20% or 40% of the price | Taxable income |
Worked example: one Bitcoin stake, two taxes (Sweden)
You bought 0.01 BTC for SEK 4,000 and later deposit it at a non-EEA casino when it is worth SEK 6,000. The deposit is a disposal, so SEK 2,000 is a capital gain taxed at 30%: SEK 600. If you then win and finish the year SEK 10,000 ahead at that casino, the 30% gambling tax applies to the net winnings too: SEK 3,000. Keep exchange records of every transfer, because DAC8 reporting means Skatteverket will see them.
Nordic legal position of these casinos
None of the three holds a Nordic licence. Sweden prohibits operators from targeting Swedes without a Spelinspektionen licence; Norway can block sites by DNS since 1 January 2025; Denmark blocks unlicensed sites by court order; and Finland keeps Veikkaus’s exclusive rights until 30 June 2027. Crypto does not change any of this, and Spelpaus or ROFUS do not reach these casinos. The country table on our homepage has the detail, and the Curaçao page explains the offshore licences.
Depositing and withdrawing crypto, step by step
- Buy the coin on an authorised platform. Under MiCA, crypto service providers in the EU need authorisation; use one that has it.
- Pick the coin and the network in the casino cashier. For USDT, the network matters as much as the coin.
- Copy a fresh deposit address. Paste it and compare the first and last characters with the cashier before you send.
- Send a small test amount to a new address. One extra fee is cheap insurance.
- Wait for the confirmations the casino requires. Bitcoin is the slowest of the four coins above.
- Verify your identity before you need to withdraw. Offshore casinos still run identity checks before the first payout, even when you deposited in crypto.
- Withdraw to a wallet you control and keep the records. Save the date, coin, amount, euro value and transaction hash of every transfer. Under the EU transfer rules, an exchange receiving the coins may ask where they came from.
At Tsars a crypto withdrawal starts at EUR 50 and is capped at EUR 5,000 per transaction, or EUR 2,000 while a bonus is active, so a large win paid in crypto arrives in several transfers.
Provably fair games: what the label proves
Some crypto casinos offer games marked “provably fair”, usually crash, dice or mines titles. The idea, as game studio Spribe describes it, is a commitment you can check afterwards: the game generates a server seed and shows you only its cryptographic hash before the round, your side adds a client seed, and the result is calculated from both. Once the seed is revealed, you can hash it yourself, confirm it matches what you were shown, and recompute the outcome.
That proves the result was fixed before you bet and not changed afterwards. It does not prove the game pays well: the house edge is set in the game’s rules, and a provably fair game can still have a higher edge than a regulated slot. We could not confirm which provably fair titles, if any, the three casinos above carry from the Nordic countries, so check the lobby yourself.
Checks before your first crypto deposit
- The licence seal opens a live check for the exact domain. All three casinos here cite Anjouan licences; a bare-domain lookup is not enough, so use the seal on the site.
- Your coin and network are listed in the cashier. Not on a banner, in the cashier itself.
- The withdrawal minimum and maximum suit your stake. Compare them with the table above.
- The bonus cash-out cap is clear. SpinsBro, for example, caps winnings from a bonus at 10x the bonus.
- You know the EU-licensed alternative. If a regulator inside the EEA matters more to you than crypto, see the MGA casinos we list, which take bank transfers and cards instead.
Brands removed from the old Bitcoin list
The previous list included BitKingz, Slotti, Smokace, MoonWin, Wolfy, BetPlays, Joker.io, Buumi, QBet, Fortune Panda and BrucePokies. We removed QBet because of regulatory sanctions against its operator, BitKingz because its terms exclude Swedish players from all bonuses and promotions and its licence number was not visible, and the rest because we could not re-verify their licence and Nordic acceptance in October 2026. SpinsBro and Tsars stay, with corrected licence data.

Frequently asked questions
Which international casinos accept Bitcoin?
Of the brands we track for Nordic players, Tsars, Casoo and SpinsBro accept cryptocurrency. None of the MGA or Estonian-licensed casinos in our directory takes crypto as of October 2026.
Are crypto casino winnings tax-free?
No. The casinos on this page hold Anjouan licences, outside the EEA, so Swedish players pay 30% on net winnings per operator and year. Using crypto as a stake is also a taxable disposal of that crypto in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
What is the EU travel rule for crypto?
Regulation (EU) 2023/1113, applying from 30 December 2024, requires crypto service providers to collect information on transfers. For transfers over 1,000 euros to or from a self-hosted wallet, the provider must assess whether the wallet belongs to its customer.
What is the minimum Bitcoin deposit at Tsars?
Tsars’s payments page lists a minimum of 20 euros for Bitcoin deposits and 50 euros or dollars for Bitcoin withdrawals, with a 5,000 maximum per withdrawal and 2,000 while a bonus is active.
Which coin is fastest for a casino deposit?
Bitcoin is the slowest of the common coins, with a new block about every 10 minutes on average, so a deposit that needs several confirmations can take half an hour or more. Ethereum runs on 12-second slots, and a dollar stablecoin such as USDT is usually quick and cheap on a low-fee network, provided the casino accepts that exact network.
What does provably fair mean?
It means you can check afterwards that a game result was fixed before you bet: the game shows a hash of its server seed before the round, combines it with a client seed, and reveals the seed later so you can recompute the result. It does not show that the game’s house edge is low.
