How to verify an MGA licence, step by step
- Read the footer. A genuine MGA casino names its company, its Maltese company number and its licence. Slot Pony’s footer, for example, gives Elmst Limited, C98783 and MGA/B2C/1055/2024.
- Search the MGA authorisations register for the company, not the brand. The entry shows the licence status and the domains approved under it.
- Match the domain exactly. Copycat sites reuse real licence numbers; if the domain in your browser is not listed under the licence, the claim is borrowed.
- Click the seal. The MGA seal should open a verification page on the MGA’s own site. An image or a page on another domain proves nothing.
What the B2C licence types mean
A business-to-consumer licence from the MGA lists the game types the operator may offer. Type 1 covers games of chance played against the house, such as slots, roulette and blackjack. Type 2 covers fixed-odds betting. Type 3 covers games where players play against each other and the operator takes a commission, such as poker, and Type 4 covers controlled skill games. Quickz, Shockz and Reblz, the three MGA brands here with a sportsbook, need the betting type as well as casino games, and the register entry shows which types each licence includes.

What an MGA licence does not do for you
- It is not a licence for your country. Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland each apply their own law, as the Claymore ban above shows.
- The MGA will not decide your dispute. You go to the casino and then to its ADR body.
- Your national safety nets do not reach it. Spelpaus and ROFUS cover only casinos licensed in Sweden and Denmark; use each brand’s own limits and self-exclusion.
- Tax-free status is not automatic. See the tax table above.
Spotting an outdated MGA claim
Licences move, and old reviews do not always follow. In 2026 several brands that used to run under Infiniza Limited’s Malta licence (MGA/B2C/367/2016), including Monsino, Unlimit, Winzie and Lucky Jungle, moved to Hundise Limited’s Anjouan licence, so a site that still calls them MGA casinos is out of date. They now appear on our betting list as Anjouan brands. The register is the tie-breaker: if the company and domain are not listed there today, treat the casino as not MGA-licensed. Payouts and limits at the MGA brands
All three companies process withdrawals within 72 hours once identity checks are complete, set the minimum withdrawal at EUR 20 and cap payouts at EUR 5,000 per rolling 24 hours and EUR 20,000 per rolling 30 days. Instant bank transfers are paid the same working day according to the payments pages; other methods take up to two working days. Deposit limits are self-serve: a decrease applies immediately and an increase after 24 hours.
Bonus rules shared by the MGA group
- Minimum qualifying deposit EUR 20; maximum bet EUR 5 while a bonus is active.
- Each match bonus must be wagered within 48 hours of being claimed.
- Free spins are worth EUR 0.10, carry no wagering, and pay up to EUR 1,000 per stage.
- Bonus winnings convert to cash up to 5x the bonus.
- Live casino and table games do not count towards wagering; Skrill, Neteller and Paysafecard deposits do not qualify.
- Most welcome offers exclude Finland; Spinskull’s does not.

Frequently asked questions
How many MGA casinos are on this list?
21 live brands from three Malta-registered companies: Elmst Limited, Elvel Limited and Ludaro Limited. Each licence number was checked in the MGA authorisations register.
How do I check an MGA licence?
Search the MGA’s public authorisations register for the company name in the casino footer and confirm that the casino’s domain is listed under that licence. The licence number should follow the pattern MGA/B2C/number/year.
Will the MGA settle my complaint?
Not directly. The MGA’s Player Support Unit stopped ruling on individual disputes on 1 April 2019. Complain to the casino first, then to the ADR body it names; Slot Pony’s terms name eCOGRA.
Are MGA casino winnings tax-free in Sweden?
Only when the game does not require a Swedish licence. If the casino’s games are aimed at Sweden, Skatteverket taxes 30% of net winnings per operator and year, even though Malta is in the EEA.
What do the parts of an MGA licence number mean?
In MGA/B2C/1055/2024, B2C means a business-to-consumer licence, 1055 is the licence number and 2024 is the year in the number. The format alone proves nothing: confirm the company and the exact domain in the MGA authorisations register.
